1. The E-Myth by Michael E. Gerber

The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber is a book about how to create a business that works for you, not for someone else or some other goal. If you have an idea and want to turn it into a profitable business, this book will help guide you through the steps necessary to get there.

The second edition also includes new information on building teams, managing people and systems in your company so that they're working toward one goal instead of fighting against each other like they do when there are conflicting goals involved in their work environment (which can lead to conflict). It has been updated with new insights from top experts such as Seth Godin and Jeff Walker who provide real world examples from their own businesses so readers can see how well those strategies work at scale.

2. Traction by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares

Traction by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares is a book about how to build a startup. It's not the sort of thing you'd read if you wanted to learn how to build an online business from scratch, but it's definitely worth reading if your goal is simply making money with your existing website or app.

The authors talk about getting people (users) interested in what they offer, getting them involved with the product or service, then selling them on paying for it. They mention that traction is important because it helps build brand awareness and credibility through word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied customers who have seen firsthand how well their products work for themselves and this can happen quickly.

3. Start with Why by Simon Sinek

Start with Why by Simon Sinek is a great book for anyone who wants to start an online business. It outlines the importance of starting with why, and how you can use the three circles model to help you determine your value proposition.

The three circles are: who (customers), what (products/services) and why (your mission). By answering these questions, you'll be able to create a better understanding of your audience and what they care about most.

4. The Lean Startup by Eric Ries

The Lean Startup by Eric Ries is a book about customer development, iterative product development, and how to measure the progress of a startup. It was written by Eric Ries in 2011 and published by O'Reilly Media on May 25th 2012. The book's intent is to teach readers how to build businesses based on the idea that customers will tell you what they want or need instead of dictating it for them like traditional businesses do.

The main premise behind this book is that there are no silver bullets when it comes time for building an online business and launching an MVP (minimum viable product); instead you should be focusing on learning from your mistakes along with constant improvement through experimentation until you reach something that works really well for your target audience - this can take months or even years depending on how long it takes before finding out what they really want.

5. Hug Your Haters by Jay Baer

If you’re looking for a book on how to deal with haters, this one is for you. Jay Baer is the founder of Convince & Convert, which is an online marketing agency that specializes in helping businesses grow their customer base through social media.

He also wrote Youtility: How to Drive Social Media Traffic Through Content Marketing and Social Media Promotions (which was my favorite book). In Hug Your Haters: How to Deal With People Who Don't Like What You Do (And Be Happy About It), he talks about how important it is for business owners and entrepreneurs alike to remember that there will always be people who don't like what they do or say about them and how we can use this knowledge as fuel for our fire when faced with adversity.

6. Outside Insight by Jorn Lyseggen

Outside Insight by Jorn Lyseggen is a book that will help you to get the right information and make better decisions. The book is about how to get the right people on your team, in your network, and in your mind to help you grow your business.

Lyseggen is a Norwegian freelance journalist who has written for several newspapers and magazines around Europe as well as Forbes Magazine in New York City.

In this book he shares his experience of working with clients from all over the world including entrepreneurs, executives, investors and other successful people who have built businesses using online marketing techniques such as social media marketing or content creation strategies such as blogging etcetera.

7. Purple Cow, New Edition: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable by Seth Godin

In Purple Cow, New Edition: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable by Seth Godin, you'll learn how to be remarkable. It's not just about being different from your competition, it also means doing something that no one else is doing. This book will give you ideas about how to create a unique product or service that customers want and need.

But being remarkable isn't just about building a product or service that stands out in some way; it's also about thinking differently than anyone else in your industry does (or at least thinking differently than the people who are already doing what they do).

You can see examples of companies like Apple Computer Inc., Nike Inc., Disney Corporation and Starbucks Coffee Company as they have transformed their industries over time because they were able to think differently than everyone else at the time when they started out on their journey toward becoming world-class brands.

8. The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss

The book is a great read for anyone who wants to start an online business. It talks about outsourcing, automation and delegation.

9. Influence, the Psychology of Persuasion, Revised Edition by Robert Cialdini

Influence, the Psychology of Persuasion, Revised Edition by Robert Cialdini is a classic in the field of influence and persuasion. The book was first published in 1987 and has been translated into more than 30 languages. It has sold over 2 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most popular books on salesmanship ever written.

Cialdini's theories have been tested by hundreds of studies that have shown their validity across cultures and time periods from classical Greece to modern-day America (and even beyond). In fact, his ideas about how we can be influenced continue to be relevant today because they explain why so many people are susceptible to "consumers" like myself who are always looking for new ways to make money online.

10. Launch! How to Quickly Propel Your Business Beyond the Competition (online book about online business)by Michael A. Stelzner

Launch! is a book about online business, and it offers advice on how to get started. The author has interviewed over 200 entrepreneurs who have built successful online businesses. The book is divided into two parts:

  • Find your solutions first, then set goals and make decisions based on those solutions.
  • Don’t worry about what other people are doing; focus on what works for you.

11. Jab, Jab, Jab right Hook – Gary Vaynerchuk

Jab, Jab, Jab Right Hook is a book by Gary Vaynerchuk. It was released in 2017 and has become one of the go-to reference guides for anyone looking to get into social media marketing or start an online business.

The book goes into great detail about how you can use social media as part of your business strategy and can help you build a following on Facebook or Instagram. It also gives examples of what kinds of content works best when it comes to creating content that people want to share with their friends or followers online (which will drive sales).

You’ll learn how important it is to create engaging conversations around your brand through these platforms as well as how important customer service is when using them effectively so that people don’t lose faith in them after being burned once again by some other company who didn't handle things correctly when dealing with complaints about products purchased from them over time before ultimately becoming defunct due simply because no one trusted their product anymore due largely thanks commonly known fact amongst many people.

12. To Sell Is Human – Daniel H. Pink

To Sell Is Human by Daniel Pink is a book about the new world of selling. It's based on research and scientific studies, so it will appeal to anyone who sells products or services.

The author has written many other books, including Drive, To Sell Is Human and A Whole New Mind.

13. Essentialism – Greg McKeown

Essentialism is about saying no to the good so you can say yes to the great. It's about focusing on the important, not the urgent. And it's about getting rid of the bad so you can make room for the good and then enjoying that goodness more fully.

Essentialism is an approach to life and work that helps you become more productive by focusing on what's actually essential in your life (in other words: not everything).

It teaches you how to make choices based on what really matters most in order for your business or personal life goals (or both) reach their full potential.

14. Deep work -Cal Newport

Deep work is a book about how to focus on your work and get the most out of your time. It's based on Cal Newport’s experiences as a professor of computer science at Georgetown University, and his research into deep work.

The book was published in January 2018, but it has been getting rave reviews since then. One Amazon reviewer wrote: “I read this book in one sitting (it took me 4 hours), because I wanted to learn what makes this guy unique; after all he IS an expert in his field.

And he knows how to share his knowledge with us. This guy knows what he is talking about when it comes down to doing things right and this book will show you how you can do it.

15. Rocket Fuel – Gino Wickman and Mark Winters

Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman and Mark Winters is a book that teaches you how to use the power of momentum to build a business. The authors tell you that success in business is not just about what you do, but also how you do it. They say building a personal brand and community are essential parts of achieving this goal.

The authors outline three steps for building your own personal brand:

  • Create an authentic image for yourself.
  • Get involved in communities where people share similar interests as yours (this can be online).
  • Launch products or services that help others achieve their goals.

16. Extreme Ownership -Jocko Willink and Leif Babin

Extreme Ownership is a book by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, two Navy SEALs who were part of the most elite fighting force on earth. The authors talk about how they've taken the lessons they learned in the military and applied them to business management, leadership, and personal life.

The concept of extreme ownership is simple: "What would you do if your life depended on it?" It's an intense question that forces you to think about what's important and where your priorities lie.

If something goes wrong with your business or personal life (and they always do) how will you handle it? Embracing this mindset means recognizing that everything has its own value even failure can bring success if handled correctly.
